The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 or ARPA is a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill to speed up the United States’ recovery from the economic and health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
ARPA funds provide eligible state and local governments with a substantial infusion of resources to meet the needs of responding to the pandemic and rebuild a stronger and more equitable economy.
The City of Cleveland Heights was awarded $38.8 million and has been working to identify eligible projects. The City has already allocated $18 million for sewer projects and $10 million for revenue replacement.
On Thursday, July 28, at 6:30 pm, the City of Cleveland Heights will hold a public meeting at the Cleveland Heights Community Center, 1 Monticello Boulevard, about how the City should prioritize its remaining ARPA funds.
