Movie Night for June will be Sunday, June 12, at 5:00p.m. in the sanctuary. The movie will be “Frida”. With Salma Hayak playing the title role, this film is about the artist Frida Kahlo. The setting is Mexico in the 1930’s. Besides being artists who defined an era, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera were politically active, sheltering Trotsky during a time when Communism was being defined/hijacked by Stalinists. Frida herself was working through her own personal issues and health problems. Come watch the movie, then join in the discussion. Pizza is provided, but you may want to bring your choice of beverage.
