Reproductive Justice in Ohio-Good news!

On Monday March 13, the Ohio Ballot Board confirmed the proposed ballot language was one issue only, and so we can begin collecting approximately 413,000 Ohio voters’ signatures by July 5, 2023 to put “The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety” constitutional amendment on the 2023 ballot.

This Sunday March 19 we will be hosting a signature drive through at UUCC from noon to 3pm. This is the first of many opportunities to collect signatures this Spring and early Summer.

We may already have enough volunteers for this Sunday. If you’d like to come for a while to see how it works, you are most welcome to join us!  We want everyone involved to feel comfortable with whatever role you choose to be involved in. More dates/times/ information will be forthcoming.

We will also be looking for volunteers to be on site at UUCC for people to pick up petitions, and promotional materials, and drop off signed petitions. If you have a one or two hour per week time slot that is convenient for you to be at UUCC, please email Laurie Albright at [email protected] to review options.

As this campaign progresses there will be other important helpful actions for those who are not able to collect signatures. Please contact us with your offer for help.
