Best Buy recycles many, though not all, electronics and electrical appliances. Some recycling is free and some has a charge.  For details see bestbuy.com/recycles

Upcycle Parts Shop gives materials a new life for crafting.  They are located at 6419 St. Clair Avenue.  See www.upcyclepartsshop.org  Due to COVID, the shop is open by reservation for shopping or donations.  They can take up to 3 boxes of donations per visit.  Their website has a list of materials they can use; click on Donate/Donate Materials for a link to the list. They have cut down on workshops due to COVID, but when these resume they are a good resource for learning to repurpose materials.  For example, they led a group to make lovely flowers from pop bottles, wire, and paint.
