Zoom-In Live! April Guests: Mary Schatzman and Don Stimpert

Two past Board Presidents – one from The Society, the other from First U – will be the special guests on UUCC Zoom-In…LIVE in April. Mary Schatzman, a former Board President from The Society, will appear on April 12, while Don Stimpert, a former President of First U, will be the special guest on April 26. The show airs 8-9 pm eastern time on both dates.

“Mary and Don have both been leaders of our congregations for many years,” show host David Kantor remarked. “It will be interesting to hear their observations on the paths the predecessor congregations took, the road to reunification, where we’re at now, and their hopes for UUCC going forward.”

“Mary and Don both played integral roles in the reunification process,” David continued. “Mary was the Board President of The Society during the reunification discussions, and was a member of the Reunification Task Force that developed the terms for the Society and First U to reunify. Don was a member of the Finance team that did the financial due diligence and financial projections for the reunification.”

“Of course, in their roles as leaders of their respective congregations before the reunification, they each dealt with a wide range of other issues. We’re looking forward to exploring some of those with each of them. And, of course, we’ll spend a bunch of time on their individual journeys, spiritual and otherwise,” David concluded.

The pre-show begins 10-12 minutes before 8 with a three song music mix, then follows with David and co-host interviewing the special guest for about 25 minutes. After a short break, the audience asks questions of the guest for the remainder of the show. “The smart folks show up at around 12 minutes before 8 and stay a few minutes after the show ends to listen to the music,” David observed.

The UUCC community is provided with the Zoom link to the show the Sunday before each episode in the late afternoon/early evening. The sender of the link is “Zoom In Live.”
