A decade ago, our Congregation built a powerful, future oriented solar array. It generated not only a significant percentage of the electrical power consumed by the congregation’s building; it also provided charging for electrical vehicles. This type of project was quite rare at the time, but it was a project that reflected our commitment to our 7th Principle. We reduced our carbon footprint and established the UU congregation on Shaker Boulevard as a leader committed to making a difference in a challenging environment. We recognized, in our interconnectedness, a power we can harness collectively to strengthen the web of life in which we all must play an important part.
