Success Story – Pretrial Navigator

We continue to get positive feedback from both the Public Defender’s Office and our clients. Here’s a recent success story from the field:

After getting arrested, our client lost her job, her driver’s license and was in danger of losing her housing where she lives with her children. One of our Volunteer UU Navigators jumped into action, and was able to guide her to resources while she conquered the incredible burdens following her brief detainment.

After her case was closed, our Project Manager spoke to the client and she said this about her volunteer navigator, “she did an absolutely amazing job and doesn’t think her case would have been successful without that guidance.”

Training for Cohort #3 will continue May 5th 12:00pm on a Zoom link that has been provided to the team.

If you would like to join us for Training with the Public Defender’s office, please contact the Project Manager, Stephanie K. Thomas at [email protected] or via text at 440-318-4365.
