Stewardship 2026-27 has officially launched!

Email, 3/7/2026

The UUCC 2026/27 Stewardship campaign kicked off last weekend with several gratitude gatherings at congregants’ homes and a passionate call to stewardship by Lou Salza, delivered during Sunday’s worship service.

There were three gratitude gatherings this past weekend, hosted by David Kantor/Mary Ellen McNulty, Justin Hunsaker/Kate Trapp, and Cat White. Congregants mingled (fun game to get to know each other), ate and drank, heard brief presentations about where UUCC is now and where we’re headed from Board members and members of the Stewardship Committee, received some words of wisdom from Rev. Elaine Strawn and Jenni Papp, and had detailed Question and Answer periods. The Q&A discussed everything from the Capital Campaign to our financial position, the need for stewardship, and the workings of the Board.

There are three more gratitude gatherings scheduled for this weekend. Don’t want to go to somebody’s home? No problem – we’re doing one this year in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, March 8. The others are at the homes of Lou and Dell Salza (3/7) and Amy Glesius/Roger Buelow (3/8).

Congregants are urged to attend one of these for a couple of hours of great fellowship and information sharing. You’ve all been invited to one of the gatherings. If you RSVP’d for this weekend, please attend. If you haven’t yet RSVP’d, please do so. If your designated gathering was last weekend and you missed it, it’s NOT too late. Just e-mail us at Stewardship@UUCleveland.org and we’ll confirm your attendance at the party of your choice.

Congregants who don’t attend a gathering will have their stewardship packet mailed to them next week.

Stewardship vs Building our Tomorrows: Two campaigns, Two Purposes

You may be wondering what’s the difference between the Stewardship Campaign and the Building Our Tomorrows Capital Campaign.

Think of it like your household finances: Stewardship funds our checking account (to pay staff, programming, utilities, and maintenance), whereas the Capital Campaign is for building our savings account in order to pay for a major renovation of our building.

Pledges to each campaign are separate. And indeed, congregants are asked to make a pledge to each campaign.
