Term 2022-2025
Barbie Jones became a UU when she signed the book at the UUCC predecessor, the UU Society of Cleveland, in the summer of 2012. Not long after, she was asked to help with the annual budget process and her involvement snowballed from there. When she joined the board at UUSC, she didn’t expect my term to be quite so exciting. Not only was I the board president when Rev Joe Cherry started as minister, that winter she slipped in an icy parking lot and broke her ankle. She was very grateful for the support of the UU community during that time. Since then, she’s been involved with the Finance committee and the Stewardship committee both before & after the reunification.
When she’s not doing church things, she’s a software engineer in the measurement & instrumentation industry and live in South Euclid with her husband Rich. If the weather’s nice, you might see them out on a walk or hike with Geordi (their very big & not-very-smart dog). In poor weather, She is more likely to be found quilting, knitting, reading, and/or watching hockey. Frequent potluck attendees know that she enjoys cooking and baking!
