Member, Leadership Development Committee
Term 2026-2028

Becky Burns joined UUCC in 2018 after moving from Memphis, Tennessee, to Shaker Heights to be closer to her daughter, Molly Watkins, her son-in-law, Andrew, and her granddaughters, Sophie and Drew. Having grown up as the daughter of a Methodist minister and spent many years active in Methodist congregations while raising her own family and teaching music, Becky was excited to become part of the UUCC community alongside her family.
Becky quickly embraced congregational life as a way to build friendships and become involved. She sings with the Chancel Choir and participates in the Laughter in Our Lives and Cheers to a Night Out groups. She has also enjoyed participating in the ukulele and hiking groups and has volunteered with Fernway (FDR) School by tutoring students, helping with Disney musicals, and delivering pizzas as attendance incentives. Becky also serves on the Capital Campaign Steering Committee.
Whether she’s singing, volunteering, or spending time with family, Becky values the friendships, sense of purpose, and welcoming spirit she has found at UUCC.
