Have you taken a look in our pollinator garden lately?
Here we have a spectacular bloom on our native cactus, one of Tom Gibson’s favorites.
Betty Root’s Garden is abuzz with bees, and both a monarch and a swallowtail have been spotted there. The garden is doing it’s job! Over the next couple of years, we will be transplanting the native plants in Betty Root’s garden over to the area on the other side of the east entry due to the coming renovations to the building.
Also, Lou Salza recently powerwashed, sanded, and oiled the benches. He used food-grade tung oil so it’s safe for one and all. By the time you read this, they will have been roped off for a couple of days and dried well.
And don’t forget to check out the orchard. It has apples!!
As always, the garden crew needs all the help we can get. Check out the Garden To Do List elsewhere in this newsletter and come any time.
