Greetings UUCC Family,
It’s an exciting time right now to share and discuss what your vision is for our church, now and in the future. Please find some time to attend one of the focus groups because we need your voice to be heard.
A brief summary from Glenn Wagner, Capital Campaign Director:
To date we have had 33 members participate in a capital campaign focus group. Based on the excellent discussion and the feedback from the completed questionnaires so far, accessibility emerges as the single most important benefit, appearing consistently across multiple responses in various forms – from basic “accessibility” to specific concerns about “handicap access,” “physically accessible building,” and making the space welcoming “for all.” Beyond this, members focus on creating a welcoming, inviting space that attracts new members, particularly young families, to ensure the congregation’s long-term sustainability. Respondents repeatedly emphasize transforming from a traditional “church” into a “vibrant, modern community center” that projects openness and encourages both internal engagement and external community involvement.
Every participant’s voice is heard and every idea is included in the material that will inform our decisions as a congregation. Please make sure you invest in the future of UUCC by attending an upcoming capital campaign focus group.
