Finance Committee Report

  1. Our financial performance from operations (loss of $261k) is about $52k behind budget for the first ten months of our fiscal year 
    1. Pledge income of $432k is about $16k lower than budget
    2. Rental income of $29k is about $5k below budget 
    3. Total operating revenue of $603k is $29k behind budget.
    4. Expenses of $864k are $23k higher than budget – due to the capital campaign (both timing of expenses in the budget and the actual cost of the campaign).
  2. “Other income” of $217.5k is $389k better than budget due to investment gains of $311k (net of investment fees) and timing of some capital improvements projects
    1. NOTE: This excludes $790k in capital campaign receipts (and a small amount of interest on these funds) that are included in our financial statements 
    2. Our overall finances show a loss of $42k vs a budgeted loss of $380k 
      1. Again, this excludes the $790k of capital campaign receipts
