Finance Committee Report

  1. Our financial performance from operations (loss of $171k) is about $40k behind budget for the first eight months of our fiscal year 
    1. Pledge income of $375k is about $2k lower than budget
    2. Rental income of $25k is about $2k below budget 
    3. Total operating revenue of $525k is $2k behind budget.
    4. Expenses of $697k are $38k higher than budget – mostly due to the capital campaign (both timing of expenses in the budget and the actual cost of the campaign).
  2. “Other income” of $152k is $288k better than budget due to investment gains of $250k (net of investment fees) and timing of some capital improvements projects
    1. NOTE: This excludes $508k in capital campaign receipts (and a small amount of interest on these funds) that are included in our financial statements 
    2. Our overall finances show a loss of $19k vs a budgeted loss of $268k 
      1. Again, this excludes the $508k of capital campaign receipts
