Member, Leadership Development Committee
Term 2025-2027

Kathleen Zassick joined UUCC in 1994 after a friend introduced her to Unitarian Universalism. She was looking for a spiritual community that drew wisdom from many traditions while welcoming people of all backgrounds and beliefs—and she found exactly that at UUCC.
Since then, Kathleen has shared her time and talents in many areas of congregational life. She has served two terms on the Board of Trustees and two terms on the Nominating Committee. For more than 16 years, she has helped nurture the next generation as a religious education teacher. She has also served on the Kitchen Committee and the Social Justice Team.
Kathleen is married to Eric Angyal, and they have two children, Brian and Rebecca. Professionally, she has spent more than three decades with a pharmaceutical manufacturer, working in quality inspection, analytical chemistry, and regulatory affairs. Earlier in her career, she served as a high school science teacher in Kenya with the Peace Corps and worked in outdoor youth education as both a canoe instructor at a girls’ camp in Maine and an Outward Bound instructor for adjudicated youth in Florida. In her free time, Kathleen enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in church activities, hiking, gardening, reading, and watching a wide variety of sports.
