5-10-2022: Update: There is still room in the bus or
If you cannot march in person at the Poor and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and March on Washington on June 18th, you can donate to pay for bus seats for low wealth people directly to https://bitly.com/DonateOHPPC and you can register to watch it virtually by going through the regular online registration process and selecting “I will participate virtually” so you can be counted. We will not have a building based watch party, but the Ohio Poor People’s campaign is hosting a Zoom party. There is still room on the bus to attend and we may be able to get a bus stop at Fairmount Presbyterian church in Cleveland Heights if enough of us ride the bus. Bus riding requires one vaccine and a mask. The cost is now $90. poorpeoplescampaign.org/june18.

The Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly & Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18, 2022 will be a generationally-transformative declaration of the power of poor and low-wealth people and our moral allies to say that this system is killing ALL of us and we can’t…we won’t…we refuse to be silent anymore!
“It is NOT just a day of action. It is a declaration of an ongoing, committed moral movement to 1) Shift the moral narrative; 2) Build power; and 3) Make real policies to fully address poverty and low wealth from the bottom up.” – Bishop William J. Barber II and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis
Join Suzanne Zilber , other UUCC members and members of other local churches for this important event. Contact Suzanne Zilber, with questions or to arrange ways to get to the bus at 2 AM. Her contact information is in the congregation directory or by FaceBook.
If you are planning on attending consider purchasing a Yellow “Side with Love t-shirt” from the UUA bookstore
