Last Sunday twenty-five amazing people from all over our community gathered to hear Jessica Ireland, senior manager at the Center for Effective Public Policy, present updates and do an introductory training about our very own pretrial services program.
Others expressed interest but were unable to attend. They will “catch up” on the training by viewing the video of our inspiring session-and you can too!
In this time of concern about our country, we still work for justice. As Valerie Kaur, author of See No Stranger: a memoir and manifesto of revolutionary love, wrote, “Each of us has a role in this long labor, no matter who is in the Whitehouse. That means when a voice in us says “I can’t”, our most urgent task is to find the wisdom to stay in the fire.”
We are staying in the fire by working to change our justice system in Cuyahoga County. Through our efforts, we are showing our County a better way.
