At the start of the new year, Rev. Joe was interviewed by Cleveland’s Channel 5 News about turmoil within the United Methodist Church (UMC).

At the UMC’s General Conference this summer, the faith community’s leaders voted not to affirm the rights of LGBTQ+ people or ordain LGBTQ+ ministers. This has caused disagreement within the UMC that many believe can only lead to a schism within the Church.
