Shaker Heights Lawnmower Rebate Program Coming this April 2023
This spring, the City’s Sustainability Committee will offer residents — on a first come, first served basis — the opportunity to earn a $100 rebate for purchasing a battery-powered electric lawn mower and turning in their gas-powered mower.

To be eligible for the rebate, residents must:
1 Purchase a new electric battery-powered lawn mower from any vendor. Save the purchase receipt and take a photo of the make, model, and serial number on the electric mower. 
2 Bring their gas-powered lawn mower, with an empty fuel tank, to the City’s Service Center located at 15600 Chagrin Blvd. during the Household Hazardous Waste Roundup on Saturday, April 29 or Sunday, April 30 between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. You will receive a rebate form verifying you recycled a mower.

The first 40 residents to turn in their gas-powered lawn mower and present the rebate form, the receipt for their new electric battery-operated lawn mower, and a photo of the required information will be eligible to receive a $100 rebate from the City of Shaker Heights. The rebate will be issued by check and sent by mail approximately three weeks after the complete information is received.
