Sometimes the internet is a force for division and contentiousness. Sometimes it is a force for real dysfunction in our experiences. Sometimes the internet is a burden.
But then, sometimes, it really is the source of connection and collaboration that we dream it could be. And sometimes it is affirming to ourselves as viewers and to those involved in creating self-expression.
Case in point: Dolly Parton watching people on the internet cover her music, and then those people being able to watch Dolly Parton watch them cover her music. And then us being able to watch this whole thing happen. Sometimes the internet sucks. This time it doesn’t.
