We Need You — Be a Delegate to UUA General Assembly
The General Assembly is coming up — and we want you to serve as a delegate for our congregation.
What: UUA General Assembly (GA) — the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists from across the country, where we worship, learn, connect, and participate in democratic decision-making that helps shape the future of our faith, and this year’s theme is Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere.
GA will unfold in two parts with a midweek pause. From Sunday, June 14 to Tuesday, June16, delegates will engage in fully virtual General Sessions focused on the business of the Association. Programming resumes Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21 with worship, featured speakers, and Meet the Moment themed programs that can be experienced online, at the studio site in Louisville, or in participating local congregations. This flexible model makes GA more accessible, sustainable, and connected for UUs everywhere.
Why It Matters
As a delegate, you participate in the democratic governance of the UUA. Delegates vote on key decisions that shape the future of our faith — bylaws, social-justice commitments, study/action issues, and more. The GA also offers worship, workshops, connection with UUs from across the country, and an opportunity to bring energy and new ideas back to our community. It’s a chance to engage deeply with the faith’s future and bring back renewed energy, vision, and ideas to our congregation.
