There are several simple, meaningful ways to support children, youth, and families at UUCC. Some of these are one-time opportunities, and some are ongoing ways to help keep our shared spaces welcoming and ready.
Offer a Summer Activity After Worship
Would you be interested in leading a fun, food-based activity with children after worship on one Sunday this summer? Or do you have another idea you’d like to try?
You would be given a list of activity plans to choose from.
Then you would:
- Pick a Sunday.
- Gather the supplies.
- Lead the activity after worship.
- Another adult support person will be there with you to help with the children.
This is a great way to spend time with our children and offer a joyful, hands-on experience during the summer months.
Help Care for Wee Worship
Each week, the Wee Worship area needs to be restocked and straightened up before the next worship service.
Help with Food and Snacks
Food is another important way we care for our youth community.
Current needs include:
- Supper for the Youth Community gathering on the 4th Sunday of each month. In May, the gathering will be on May 31 instead.
- Supper for the Community of Rainbow Affirming Youth on the 3rd Friday of each month. Next is in July.
- Nut-free, single-serving snack packages for all areas of youth ministry.
If you are interested in participating in any of these opportunities, please reach out to Jenni Papp at jenni.papp@uucleveland.org.
