Laura Lau started attending the UU Society of Cleveland and subsequently became a member of UUCC following the congregation reunification. Over the years, Laura has served on the youth religious education committee and ushering team, and, alongside her husband Michael, has been a supporter of Urban Hope, sharing their passion for providing delicious and nourishing meals to those in need. For Laura, being a Unitarian Universalist has been the best way for her to nurture and respect the values she has always had for justice, equity, and interdependence.

In her career, Laura has over 15 years of experience in technology sales, specializing in building strong, consultative partnerships. Currently, she works in a remote office environment, which allows her to enjoy a healthy work-life balance as a mom.

Laura and Michael Lau, both native to the Cleveland area, reside in Cleveland Heights. It is there that they are raising their youngest son, Jordan. Together they enjoy museums, restaurants, diversity, and the joys and challenges that our urban area brings. We love to cook and create memorable meals for our family, friends, and guests. Trying and tasting new foods and recipes is a part of their usual routine. Laura loves flower gardening and being outdoors. Playing golf when time permits and going on nature walks are two of her favorite activities.
