Cash Bail: film and Discussion: Sunday November 14, 9:30 am

Cash Bail is a For Profit business. Cash Bail keeps people in Jail, who have not been convicted of a crime yet. They are in Jail only because they have no money or enough credit to pay their bail. Poorer Americans and people of color often can’t afford to come up with money for bail, leaving them stuck in jail awaiting trial, sometimes for months or years. Meanwhile, wealthy people accused of the same crime can buy their freedom and return home.

Film and discussion is open to the public. Join UUCC YRE (Youth Religious Education), their families, UUCC congregants and other interested people in an informative discussion. Social distancing and masks are required when in Fellowship Hall.
