America Recycles Day is a nationally-recognized day that celebrates and promotes recycling in the United States. On November 15, people are encouraged to spread the word about the benefits of recycling and to practice proper recycling habits. Here are some ways to commemorate the day.
- Recycle right. Cuyahoga County residents should include only cans, cartons, glass, paper and cardboard boxes along with plastic bottles and jugs in curbside recycling.
- Tune in for our special Recycle Right webinar: America Recycles Day edition on November 15.
- Take the #BeRecycled pledge at AmericaRecyclesDay.org. It’s easy – more than 83,000 people have said what they’ll recycle and how they’ll do it.
- Organize a local America Recycles Day (ARD) event at work, at school or in your community.
- Get on social media and talk about how important it is to recycle right. Make sure you tag us in you post or comment so we can chime in too!
