Term 2024-27
Justin was active in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville from a young age. He participated in Religious Education (RE), Our Whole Lives (OWL), and the first Coming of Age Program specific to the Fellowship. Additionally, he mowed the Fellowship lawn throughout the summer for several years. His religious attendance became sporadic during his 20s and 30s.
He married Kate Trapp, and together they have two children, May, who is 15 years old, and Karl, who is almost 12. With the addition of young children, he became a member of the First Unitarian Universalist RVA and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax.
Since 2019, he has been attending the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Cleveland
(UUCC). He is active with the Youth Religious Education (YRE) Advisory Committee and YRE Programs, is OWL certified, has taught two OWL classes, and co-led with his wife the inaugural New Members Small Group this year.
Professionally, he has worked as a Software Engineer, Bank Analyst and Strategist, and Digital
Director for several Fortune 500 companies. He currently owns a small business as a Presentation and Communication Executive Coach. Since 2019, he has served on the Board of The Greater Sum Foundation, where he is currently the Board Chair.
