Member, Board of Trustees

Term 2021-24

Looking for a church community with a vibrant Sunday School program, Mark and I arrived at First Unitarian, now the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Cleveland, when our son David was two or three years old. (He is now 41.) Almost immediately I was asked to teach the two and three year old Sunday School class once a month. After teaching in that room for a few years, I served on the RE Committee and planned a once a month short services in the Worship Center for RE grade school classes. In the past I have also been involved in organizing the church Heights Neighborhood Group activities, served on the Buildings and Grounds Committee, and sang in the Gospel Choir. Mark and I have hosted four or five Killam Fellows. After retiring, Mark and I reorganized the church library. In recent years I have sung in the choir, volunteered in the Welcome Office, participated in various covenant groups, and took Beloved Conversations virtually this past year. I also enjoyed being a mentor for Sophie Tascone in last year’s
Coming of Age Class.

It would be a new experience to serve our church as a board member. I look forward to having the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
