Shining Light on a Piece of the Past

Archives has many wonderful stories cached in our little Archives Room and we want to get them out and share them. The showcase by the elevators in Fellowship Hall contains our current offering which is the first in a series of planned displays on our past ministers.

This month we are featuring the Reverend Dilworth Lupton. He led our church during the “roaring 20s”, the Depression and the start of WWII, 1919-1942. His is a name few people know, but he was an important innovator in both the church and the greater Cleveland community. Amount many other things, he grew the church from 600 families to 1600 families, and he helped start Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. Please stop by the showcase and discover the rest!
