Shirts and Ties to Support Incarcerated Young Men

Our expectations around professionalism make appearance and dress an important part of navigating jobs and educational opportunities, and young people who have been incarcerated need support as they transition. Sometimes justice work comes in big picture causes and activism. And sometimes it comes in the form of making sure someone who needs a shirt and tie can have one.

Kris Bassett is a program director working with incarcerated youth and is also one of our YRE parents! She is working on a program that needs shirts and ties of all sizes and kinds that are clean and in good shape. These will support the efforts of these young people and their families as they get disentangled from an abusive and injurious prison system.

Donations will be accepted through the end of January––there will be a box for donations in Allan Georgia’s office, near the skylight. You can contact Kris Basset with any questions!
