Make your voice heard and included on the proposed changes to the Purposes and Principles of the UUA by completing an online survey. Changes to Article II are also proposed for the Sources, Inclusion and Freedom of Belief statements.
While UUCC Delegates have been charged with “voting their consciences,” they would like your input for understanding congregational priorities for their voting.
UUCC delegates to this year’s General Assembly in Pittsburgh are:
- Laurie Albright (Organizing Delegate)
- Alicia Burkle
- Kim Littell
- Nancy King Smith
- Pat Solomon
- Cat White
- Suzanne Zilber
Attend a meeting at 9-10 am Sunday May 21st in Fellowship Hall to discuss Article 2 and learn about Actions of Immediate Witness which are also voted on at General Assembly.
Delegates will conduct a second survey after the May 21st meeting and offer a Zoom meeting in June.
Suggesting changes to proposed Article II
From April 1-30, 2023, any UU may submit suggestions and ideas for revising the proposed Article II . Details and an online suggestion form are available here. All qualifying suggestions will be posted for public chat discussion at discuss.uua.org, starting after April 14. The suggestions will be reviewed by the UUA in May and will help guide the consideration of amendments. Note: the suggestions are not amendment proposals.
Updated Article II process timeline
The UUA has also published an updated timeline for consideration of and voting on Article II. There will be three Amendment Discussion Workshops in May and continued work on Amendments in June up to and during General Assembly.
