March 23 @ 7:00 pm
Join 4 local UU Congregations on Monday, March 23 @ 7 pm via Zoom
The March UUs Together programming welcomes Dr. Philip Loring of The Nature Conservancy. Dr. Loring will talk to us about what ecology and social science can tell us about interdependence and its deep relationship with diversity and justice, with examples that span from prehistory to the modern day. In interdependence, he believes, is the blueprint for a renewed and reimagined kind of human progress.
Phil Loring is the Global Director, Human Dimensions Science for The Nature Conservancy’s Global Science Team. He helps ensure that TNC’s science and practice incorporates attention to the social and cultural dimensions of environmental problems and elevates local voices in the development and implementation of solutions.
He is a trained anthropologist and experienced storyteller and is passionate about using his craft to help communities build food systems and livelihoods that are more sustainable, healthful, and just. Be ready for Earth Day with this engaging experience!
