We’ll be outside on the East Lawn (weather permitting), so please bring your comfortable chairs and dearest non-human animals. Some faith traditions suggest that human beings have a place above the other non-human animals around us. If we interpret that as a role of responsibility and care, perhaps it inspires us to tend to the world and its diverse inhabitants more mindfully. Can we embrace that same sense of care and connection from a place of mutuality? Are we willing to be the recipients as well as the bestowers of blessing?
