The Pride for All Ages group has the opportunity to create a UUCC worship service on October 13. The theme will be: Why This Election Matters to Me! You are invited to participate. You might do a reading, suggest a quote, perform a piece of music, lead a brief ritual or meditation, light or extinguish the chalice, lead/share a type of physical movement, or share a brief personal response to the question of why this election matters to you because of your identity as an LGBTQ+ person or as an ally. As a tax-exempt organization, we cannot tell people who to vote for or how to vote, but we can talk about the ideas and our UU values. This is a worship service, so it will be important to include connections to our UU faith and what our faith compels us to do. If you would like to participate, please email Maggie Nash at [email protected] by Monday, August 19, and let me know in what way you would like to participate. This will give me time to organize a meeting (in-person or zoom) of everyone who wants to contribute. You don’t have to know right now exactly what you will say/do/sing/perform, just let me know if you want to do something. You do not have to be a member of Pride for All Ages to participate. We will include as many as time allows and that fit the theme.
