Power In Progress: 15 Years of GCC Growth

We’re celebrating 15 years of GCC impact and kicking off 2026!
We are excited to share that GCC’s rescheduled Power in Progress, it’s 15th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration! Join your GCC Core Team and member congregations to hear and honor our founding co-chairs as they reflect on the organization’s power and progress at this moment. The movement’s three founders will share what sparked their interest in GCC’s organizing model, how and why they came together to create and build GCC in Cleveland, their most powerful highlights and insights along the way, and their vision for the future.
This celebration will connect newer congregations and newer members of our congregations to GCC’s roots and build our understanding of how GCC’s organizing strategies can make systemic change–empowering communities, delivering added resources, and transforming unjust systems into just ones. The program will conclude with a 15-year birthday cake and opportunities for our guests to support GCC’s work.

Criminal Justice Reform: Reduce Youth Bindover Education Series
Join us for one of six upcoming workshops to learn more about our experience attending juvenile court hearings and what needs to change. These sessions will offer a deeper look at what we’ve witnessed, along with a preview of our Youth Bindover final report. You’ll engage with the data, hear real stories from those impacted, and explore the research shaping this work, while discussing how we can take meaningful action together.
Please consider attending one of these six sessions: Wed. April 15th 1:00-3:00 PM at Church of the Covenant; Thur. April 16th: 6:30-8:30 at Church of the Saviour; Sat. April 25th 10:00-12:00 noon at Affinity Baptist; Tues. April 28th 6:30-8:30 PM at West Shore Unitarian Universalist; Wed. April 29th 6:30-8:30 PM at Congregation Mishkan Or; and Sat. May 2nd 10:00-12:00 noon at Olivet Institutional Baptist. Each session is in-person and will start promptly at the scheduled time.
