Food for our Minds and Spirits: Repair, Redemption and Redolence

If the Fall is the great celebration of the end of a leaf’s life, the Spring is the unfortunate act of forgetting, when what was gorgeous and precious in October becomes litter in April. Impermanence is part of what we as human beings have to deal with, and leaves are nothing if not impermanent.

But the other thing that human beings can do is remember, repair and re-create. And this video captures a remarkable effort to recapture the redolence of years past through an artistic act of repair and re-creation.

We cannot, actually, turn back time or reverse the forces of breakdown and decay. But we can bring those forces to bear in our lives through our own acts of repair with one another. We can pick up, glue back, refurbish and repaint when we reach out with remorse and apology and name the harms we have done, when we receive those words with grace and forgiveness.

It is one of the most miraculous things we can do.

Sometimes it is hard to tap into our spiritual selves or find time to nurture our creativity and intellectual curiosity. Here is a section that reflects on some nourishing materials from around the web and related media channels in order to get us thinking, get us feeling, and get us reflecting on the lives we are living in this big world. **Some Adult/Mature Themes May Appear in Links and Other Attached Material**
