Its difficult not to spend time on social media when there is so much that the world is begging you to see. And that has been the case with the war in the Ukraine that began last week. The idea of a televised war is something we are mostly familiar with. But the idea of a war that lives in our pockets and on our computer screens, being filmed by those whose hands are involved in the fighting is something else altogether.
It’s hard to even know what to make of what’s going on in this affair where one nation, guided by greed for power, has waged war on another for existing and making decisions for itself. Its maddening to try to understand. Its fearsome to realize how powerless one is to stop it or even speak against it. I suppose that’s part of why I feel compelled to watch.
