GCC: Canvassers needed to talk about voting and vaccines Saturday August 7th: Last chance to help

Our Next Canvassing Is Saturday, August 7th at Antioch Baptist Church, 8869 Cedar Avenue, 9:30am-1:30pm

Great Cleveland Congregation’s (GCC) Battle for Democracy campaign continues on Saturday, August 7th . We will be canvassing in the neighborhood near Antioch Baptist Church to talk with residents about voting and vaccines and catalog vacant houses. Once again, we are looking for volunteers to help us dialog with the residents of a key East Side Cleveland neighborhood. Here are the canvass details:

When: Saturday, August 7th 9:30am-1:30pm
Meet at: Antioch Baptist Church, 8869 Cedar Avenue,

The first hour will be a training session for canvassers, so please arrive at 9:30am. Lunch will be provided following the canvassing.
Laure Albright has volunteered for the this, read about her experience earlier in July. Click here

We encourage you to register ahead of time so we know how much food to have. Availability of refreshments, along with training materials,  will be based on the number of registrations. If you know someone who is unable to access the sign-up sheet because of technology issues, please offer to sign them up. Thank you!

Finally, we need an individual who can enter the data the canvassers obtain from their conversations with residents. The data will need to be inputted within 24 hours. If you are interested in helping with this critical part of the canvassing process, please come to Elizabeth Baptist Church at the end of the canvass. We will be providing data entry training as our canvassing work continues to expand.
