GCC: How Is Our Battle for Democracy Going? Join Us at 6:30 July 8th to Learn More!

Hear from our door-to-door canvassers, neighborhood captains and GCC congregations. They are talking to the people about voting and vaccines. What have they learned?

Our Battle for Democracy work has focused on canvassing five Cleveland neighborhoods to engage residents on civic participation and vaccinations. Central, Fairfax, Glenville, Lee-Harvard and Slavic Village neighborhoods over the years have seen historically low voter turnouts in recent elections.  We are safely meeting residents at the doors to learn ways we can make change on turnout and learn key issues impacting neighborhoods.

We trained passionate and talented canvassers from our five targeted neighborhoods and from other GCC congregations! We canvassed each neighborhood and recruited neighborhood volunteers!! We want more people for this critical campaign to continue to move forward on our commitment to long-term democracy work in our region!
Join us on Thursday, July 8th, from 6:30-7:30pm to hear from canvassers, neighborhood captains and GCC congregations on our Battle for Democracy Campaign and help strategize how to build out the summer and fall work!

We are building civic engagement by building relationships with people. We are neighbors and friends. We are learning what people want from their communities. And then we are showing them how to make it happen. Not just every four years, but every election, every time.
