Have you had a personal experience with pre-trial detention, that is, of course, jail before trial, or do you know someone who has? If so, think of good sharing such an experience, confidentially of course, could do for others who are similarly situated.

As you may know, our congregation is a member of Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC).and we have a group of congregants who are part of a GCC Core Team. Among the Core Team members, four of us, Laurie Albright, Pat Dillard, Pam Gibbon, and I are also members of GCC’s Criminal Justice Team.

GCC Leadership has asked members of the Criminal Justice Team to solicit personal stories of pre-trial detention from within our congregations. So, if you have had such an experience, or know of someone who has, we’d very much like to talk with you and, of course, we’ll maintain any level of confidentiality you require..
