Choirs and Cacophonies

A democratic framework has long been cherished by Unitarian Universalists and our spiritual ancestors. Democracy literally means that the power of a community belongs to the people of that community. Yet as we become more deeply aware that UUs do not share a monolithic voice, the way we share power with one another becomes vital to a vision of greater wholeness and well-being. How do we create space for every voice to be a harmonious part of the conversation, rather than a space with voices all shouting to be heard at the same time?
