Our sixth principle encourages us toward the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all. But who do we mean when we say “all?” The times we are living in present intense local challenges – COVID-19, racial injustice, threats to reproductive rights. Some suggest we narrow our focus to these immediate concerns. Our sixth principle reminds us that we are part of and responsible for promoting a global community, even when facing the problems at our doorstep. The interconnected nature of the rest of our principles give us guidance on just how to do it.
