McKimm Fund Letter of Intent

The Strategic Investment Task Force (SIT Force) is pleased to distribute the Letter of Intent (LOI) form for use by those who wish to indicate their intent to propose a project for funding by the Sue McKimm Fund for Congregational Advancement. All projects must go through the Letter of Intent process to be considered for eventual McKimm Fund funding. The SIT Force is the Board-appointed team convened to oversee the solicitation and approval of proposals for funding from the McKimm Fund.

The Letter of Intent is accompanied by an instruction sheet to guide the

completion of the form. The LOI is deliberately brief in size, to make it easy to

submit initial ideas. LOIs must be submitted by 12 midnight on January 31. The proposers of projects deemed viable for further consideration will be notified by mid-February. At that time, proposers will be asked to complete a more detailed Project Proposal form that will provide additional detail concerning the proposed initiative.

Printed copies of the Form and Instructions will be available in Fellowship Hall near the McKimm Fund Banner.

Completed LOI’s should be sent to McKimmFund@uucleveland.org by Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Letter of Intent Help

The SIT Force has scheduled a range of sessions in January to provide support to anybody who would like some guidance in completing the LOI. We’ve scheduled sessions to suit whatever your schedule and preferred format is – individual or group formats, during weekday days and evening, weekends, in person and Zoom, at the Shaker Heights building and off-site.

We have lots of help available – totaling 5 a week. Group Work Sessions, Office Hours, and some Last Minute Help are listed below. Zoom links are included for Zoom sessions. At Van Aken Market Hall (3401 Tuttle Rd Shaker Heights) look an orange flag and/or Allan Georgia.
