UUCC Showed up at GCC Action, April 7!

As Rev Randy Partain has shared, UU’s are known as the ones who show up, and last week we did just that!

On April 7, Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC) held a social justice Action. This meeting focused on the upcoming County elections. Candidates for County Executive and Juvenile Court Judge were invited. At the meeting, GCC asked for reforms, all of which were accepted by the candidates who attended. We are proud that this meeting was attended by 600 GCC members, including over 30 from UUCC.

There were also 4 Judges for the Juvinle Division: Pam Hawkins, Anne C. McDonough, Tracy Martin Peebles and Retanio Rucker. It was informative to hear from these 7 candidates. They spoke before a live audience and a zoom audience of 610 people and screens.
