Interdependence Practice Group
October 4 @ 11:45 am
The first gathering of our Interdependence Practice Group will be Sunday, October 4, 11:45AM in the Baker Room (Room 213) What’s an “Interdependence Practice Group”? It’s a bit of an experiment we’re engaging in this fall, and you don’t really have to be a part of an organized group to take part.
The goal is essentially for us to commit to more intentionally engage in honoring our interdependence. This can be within the group, and it can also be with others in our personal circles. It can be small things: Carpooling just to share a ride, not out of need. Preparing a meal with or for someone just to have a meal together, not because someone is in crisis. It could be anything really, and we’ll explore in our first time together what kinds of things honor our interdependence more fully.
Then, we’ll meet once a month to share how things have gone, both for a sense of mutual accountability and also for mutual inspiration and celebration. Maybe there are unexpected challenges or blessings we’ll hear from one another. Sometimes new practices are easier to take on when you know there’s a group journeying alongside you.
That’s the rhythm. Live intentional interdependence, return to the group and share. We’ll
commit to do that for six months and see what emerges. Our inaugural time to connect will be Sunday, October 4, at 11:45AM in the Baker Room (Room 213), and we’ll chart a course from there.
