IGAH (Interfaith Group Against Hate)

UUCC has been invited to become a member of IGAH, which is a group of faith-based congregations from various religious traditions who have joined together to challenge the movement of White Supremacy and all the hateful words and actions that come with it. The goal is to provide a different vision for our society rooted in common faith values which promote peace, justice and the basic dignity of each person.

The group was formed a year ago and founding congregations are St Dominic Catholic Church, Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple, Chagrin Valley Islamic Center, and Fairmount Presbyterian Church.

Congregational leaders along with 3 or 4 members from each congregation meet once a month to share ideas and plan activities, through education, research and community building.

If you are interested in becoming a UUCC representative, please contact Rev. Randy Partain for more information.
