Air flow plan: We will continue to use our current fans to blow air out until the outside temperature is in the 70-to-75-degree range then we will switch to blowing air in. Ken reported that he has spoken with HVAC vendors and they report that there are no quiet commercial fans. We will continue to search for an ultra quiet fan.
The OC discussed at length various possible solutions for the noise in the sanctuary. Mike reported that his decibel level app showed the noise level in the sanctuary was at 57 decibels in the middle of the room. This level represents a normal conversation but this would mean that the minister or other speakers at the front of the sanctuary could not be heard clearly. The consensus was that we should move the large black fan to the back of the sanctuary for now .
Sound system for the hearing impaired: Mike and Ken Reported that Warren Brown has been given the initial deposit funding for purchasing the equipment for the new upgraded system which should be installed in July . Mike also reported that he has told several hearing impaired members about an app that they could use to improve their hearing aide connection.
OC then discussed what to do with the sound equipment that had been removed from the sanctuary when the new system was installed. Mike is contact AllPro sound systems for a consultant to determine what value, if any, the sound equipment has and to see if it could be utilized in Fellowship Hall.
