Child Dedications celebrate the arrival of a new child and the loving community that will help nurture them. These ceremonies are commitments among parents or caregivers, the child, and the congregation.

Families work with the minister to craft a service that reflects their own cultural and spiritual identity while drawing on Unitarian Universalist tradition. Child Dedications typically include a blessing for the child, an expression of hopes and dreams from caregivers and family members, and a promise from the congregation to support the child’s growth and development.
