A Beautiful Entanglement

Sometimes we learn about a scientific idea and just can’t keep our creative imaginations still. For instance, quantum entanglement (which Einstein called “spooky action at a distance”) is a very weird phenomenon that happens to teeny-tiny particles. Once they get connected in a certain way, the particles retain that connection, no matter how far apart they are. We might want to turn that idea into all kinds of science fiction scenarios. Or we might link that idea to our Seventh Principle as Unitarian Universalists, that we affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. Are we truly entangled in a web? Can that possibly be a good thing? Or even a beautiful predicament?
