As we cross this threshold of the church year, we bring water to symbolically represent our various journeys. As we pour our individual waters into a common vessel, we acknowledge that each of us brings unique gifts and needs to our community of welcome and belonging. This year, water may represent many things to you: Drought or healing. Sustenance or storms. Maybe you carried others in the flow of your care, or maybe you have drifted on life’s currents. Wherever you are, whatever your experiences, however you have journeyed, we need one another. At our Ingathering we celebrate one another and the community we create together.
