The quality of our connections influences our physical, emotional, financial, and even intellectual health. Our faith tradition lifts up interdependence as a reality of our human existence. Relying on one another for mutual thriving flies in the face of some of the messages we receive from other spaces about self-reliance and individual freedom. How can our commitment toward generosity—cultivating a spirit of gratitude and hope—guide us toward a deeper understanding of what it means to be fully connected human beings?
